People’s Choice Awards: Best Dressed

Last night the 39th annual People’s Choice Awards took place in Los Angeles. The People’s Choice Awards is an awards ceremony where people around the world vote for their favorite movie, actors, songs, genre, music videos etc; The red carpet was chalk full of A-listers so let’s see who stole the show.
The charming host of the show Kaley Cuoco donned this pretty frothy pink Christian Siriano dress and golden peep toes. Maybe a little prom-y but not a complete fashion miss.
Heidi Klum rocked this black and gold cut out Julien MacDonald gown and a slicked back up-do. This is admittedly not one of her best looks, perhaps Heidi should be venturing on to the more demure side of red carpet dressing.

People’s Choice Award maven Jennifer Aniston wore this pleated leather flair Dior dress and ankle strap heels. Simple to say the least, but none the less elegant.d caption

Naomi Watts wore this gorgeous black and gold Alexander McQueen halter dress as she hit the red carpet. While I’m not a fan of the hair style, I do love this dress, even if it does seem a little ill-fitting around her upper torso. Details aside, this is a stunning dress.

Greys Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo threw on this belted white Lanvin dress paired with a metallic gold box clutch. While this is a little on the less glam side, Ellen looks elegant and pretty.
What better way to leave an awards ceremony than with, well, an award?! That’s exactly what Emma Watson did with her “Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress” award in hand. Donning this interesting Peter Pilotto little number and strappy heels, it seemed Ms.Watson sure had a good night.
Who needs one award when you can have 2? Jennifer Lawrence exited the ceremony with 2 awards under her belt- “ Favorite Movie Actress” and “Favorite Face of Heroism.” In addition, her movie “The Hunger Games” was nominated and won in the Favorite Action Movie Category. Oh, and she’s also wearing this fabulous Valentino dress. ‘Nuff said?
America’s sweetest songstress Taylor Swift looked elegant and demure in this plunging Ralph Lauren gown. Paired with the pop of color turquoise earrings and sexy brown eye makeup, I think this is Taylor’s “better than revenge” tactic. Oh, and an award for “Favorite Country Music Artist” couldn't hurt too. Who’s crying now Harry Styles?
Julianne Hough sported her flirty new bob and a Tony Ward Couture dress with metallic pumps. Anyone else get a Vivienne Westwood vibe from this dress? I was a little surprised by this galactic like sequined dress because Julianne usually goes for the soft and sweet vibe. Way to branch out Ms.Hough.

Throw on your blinders ladies and gents. Lea Michele brought the shine with her hot pink Elie Saab beaded and lace mini dress. This was a little too much for me, the term “bubble gum princess” comes to mind when I think of this look. With that said, I do love her shoes though.

While the PCA’s are nice and fun, everyone knows the Golden Globes are going to be 2x the glitz and glamour. Who else can’t wait?! This Sunday is the date so look out for my blog post all about it on Monday! And don’t miss Fashion Friday’s post tomorrow!
