Fashion Friday

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since a Fashion Friday post, between the Grammys and Fashion Week, its been a busy month. Check out what's been going on this week and who wore what.

Best:

Kate Hudson wowed in scarlet Stella McCartney at the Elle Style Awards, definitely my fave look of the week.

Mila Kunis dons a girly Dolce and Gabbana dress at the premiere of her latest movie. While I love the dress, her choice of shoes is a little too girly for me. I would have gone with simple black or nude heel.

Rachel Weistz was bright and cheery in this sleek Victoria Beckham dress also at the premiere with Mila. The only thing I don't love about this dress is the white straps, it seems like a distraction to the actual dress.

Beyonce killed it at the premiere of her documentary in this beaded Elie Saab dress. A drastic improvement from her Grammy outfit, this is what she should have worn!

Eva Longoria looked treÅ› chic in her cream Hugo Boss suit at the Conde Nast Traveler event. Another one of my favorite looks of the week!

Julianne Hough worked this navy blue Tommy Hilfiger dress at his store opening celebration in LA. Loved the hair and makeup and how she styled this look!

Worst:

No Julianne! You were so close to pulling this George Hobeika dress off! And then you put pants on...

Nothing is more unattractive than ill fitting clothing and orthopedic shoes. Sorry Isla Fisher, today was not your day.

Kim, that ostrich you killed wants it feathers back. Oh, and enough with the leather pants, there are only so many ways you can wear them..

Oh Britney Spears, forever being a regular on the worst dressed list. Head to toe this is a rough look, this outfit makes me want to scream and shout with horror.

When I first saw this dress on Jennifer Lopez, I thought eh not too bad. And then I saw the shoes and it was decided from there that this earned a spot on the worst dressed list. Attention ladies and gents: a prime example of failed pattern mixing.

2012 Grammy Red Carpet

Last night was the 55th annual Grammy Awards Show, and it was a jam packed red carpet! The glitz and glamour of the red carpet captivated Hollywood last night, so who was wearing who? Let's take a look at the Best Dressed of the night and the Not-So-Best Dressed.

I was pleasantly surprised at the fashion of the red carpet, no celebrity looked like a complete disaster or committed some unforgivable fashion faux pax. What do you think?

The red carpet host for the evening, super model Karlie Kloss looked super chic in bright blue cutout Michael Kors.

"Girl on Fire" singer Alicia Keyes donned this sexy black Azzedine Alaia gown.

J-Lo worked a thigh high slit in her sleek and sexy Anthony Vaccarello dress.

You can never go wrong with a classic Cavalli, Carrie Underwood  looked  beyond amazing last night in her black embroidered detail gown.

Perhaps one of my favorite looks of the night, Rihanna in red hot Azzedine Alaia was sheer perfection. I'm lovin' the longer locks on her as well.

Florence Welch, lead singer of Florence and the Machine rocked this shimmering emerald custom Givenchy gown by Riccardo Tisci. In an interview, Florence gushed how the designer personally came to her house to fit the dress!

One of my favorite red carpet couples Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Faith were a gorgeous and classy J.Mendel dress with sheer netting and a glimmering collar. Tim looked quite dapper in his Tom Ford suit and shoes.

Kelly Rowland was sheer and sexy on the carpet with her daring  Georges Chakra Couture halter dress.

Katy Perry made everyone green with envy in her flowered form fitting Gucci gown. This color looked amazing on her, and made me think of the upcoming Spring season!

As per usual, Taylor Swift donned an elegant white gown, designed by J.Mendel. Her hair was intricately braided and looked flawlessly pretty. Tay walked out with new Grammys to add to her growing collection.

Alas, the downfall of the red carpet, Beyonce. While her Osman pantsuit isn't all that terrible, this is the Grammy's we're talking about! With that said Beyonce was crowned worst dressed of the night. Get em' next time B.

Adele looked positively lovely in this vibrant Valentino floral dress.

Monique Lhuillier and Derek Lam Fall 2013 Shows!

Two fabulous designers have presented their Fall 2013 Ready-to-Wear collections! Monique Lhuillier displayed a collection of black and gold evening wear, colored furs, and decadent brocade embroidery. Derek Lam on the other hand, presented us with a palette of ivory, tan and camel color blocking. Leather and suede pieces also dominated the runway, making a statement look for Fall 2013.

I included some of my favorite looks from each designer's show.

Jason Wu Fall 2013 Ready to Wear Show

NYFW starts out with a bang! One of my favorite designers Jason Wu showed his Fall 2013 collection earlier this afternoon and I have to say I'm impressed. Jason was among only a few designers that showcased their designs today, but I have to say Wu impressed me the most. Here's a recap of some of his best looks.

Mr.Wu included black twill and velvet coats with peplum details and oversized fox fur pockets along with his trade mark collared dresses and tops. Ultimately, Wu kept it sophisticated but sexy, without being too revealing.

Stay tuned for more NYFW images and updates!
