Another Friday, another round of weekly fashion. There's nothing I love blogging about more than the wonderful fashion successes and failures of the week. Let's see the roundup for this week.
Best:
Camilla Belle in Salvatore Ferragamo at the launch of his store in London. This silver sequined mini paired with cream pumps is an automatic win. The red lips accentuate the dress and the polished up do gives an elegant air to the look. |
Sarah Hyland in Erin by Erin Fetherston. This pink metallic jacquard dress with an open ribbon back is simply fabulous. I really love this simple look, between the hairstyle and open back of the dress. It just screams pretty, cute and classic. |
Kate Hudson decked out in Phillip Lim for the new Almay eyeshadow makeup launch. When I first saw this look, I wasn't totally in love. The pattern on the top of the pants seemed slightly odd, but the longer I looked at it the more I began to like it. The pattern is kooky and different, and different is always a welcome element in fashion. Bravo Kate for trying something new. |
Anne Hathaway at the world premiere of her new movie "Les Miserables" in this Givenchy Haute Couture gown. The design of this dress is so unique, Anne pulls it off effortlessly. Her chic pixie like hair and clean fresh makeup complements the shimmery color of the dress. Another fashion forward move, well done Anne. |
Rihanna at the launch of her fragrance "Nude" at Macy's in NYC. Usually a daring fashion risk taker, the songstress went for a more demure classy look in this white sheer lace Nini Nyugen dress. I don't love this look, but I really like it, if that makes sense. Because it's Rihanna it looks fab, but on anyone else it could be an entirely different scenario. |
Jessica Biel at the premiere of her new movie "Playing for Keeps" in this gorgeous asymmetrical blue/gray Versace dress. When I saw this dress hit the runway, I never thought anyone would wear it to a red carpet event and pull it off, but Jessica does flawlessly. She looks absolutely stunning, everything was styled perfectly. My favorite look of the week by far.
Worst:
Cheryl Burke at the KIIS FM Jingle Ball in a blue silk shirt paired with leather leggings and thigh high Louboutin boots. I love Louboutin as much as the next, but I really really hate these boots. They seem tacky and trashy to me. as most thigh high boots tend to look.
Kesha, once again you grace us with your presence on the worst dressed list. Also at the KIIS FM party, the singer wore a 7 For All Mankind velvet printed suit. Does anyone else get a very trashy Christmas Elf vibe here? Maybe its just the velvet. But on the plus side, her hair and makeup looks good!
A new guest on the Worst Dressed list, Annalyne McCord. I can't stress enough how hard it is to pull off a see through top, s visible bra is hardly ever attractive. That's the case here, unfortunately. The sad part is I love the pant, and combined with a proper undershirt, this could be a cute outfit. Oh well, next time.
Usually style savvy Ashley Madekwe at the Rodeo Drive Walk of style in this white mini dress with water color like designs. This looks like she took a perfectly white mini dress, walked into a kindergarten classroom, and left.
Girl on Fire Alicia Keyes in a vivid blue motorcycle jacket and a graphic printed top paired with skinnies and ankle boots. None of this is particularly bad, just the cheesy, awful blue jacket. Definitely not a fan.
